what i think

it is difficult to say if this blog was necessary or not because it was a good review for all the topics we discussed in class however even though it was an easy assignment for some reason seemed like such a hassle. i would better prefer the discussion board on blackboard. however like i said the idea was good, and very helpful. as far as the first goal i do not think that i met people, however i did learn from reading their blogs. again it was ajust a review of the subject material learned in class. i also do not feel that the blog extended into class. your second goal was met because it is often said that a student only know what he/she has learned when they can explain it to someone else, and that is exactly what we had to do in most of the blogs. without a doubt you achieved this goal by making us think about what we did in class. your blog was very interesting however i nobody put as much effort into it as urself, and i do not plan on using this blog beyond this class [partially due to all the networking sites out there especially facebook and myspace. again as far as improvemnt goes i feel that the discussion board is a little easier to use because we can all post the same ideas and the class is organized all on one sheet, where it is easier to read all the replys to one posting and it is better organized i say try that rather then the blogger next class.

I agree that a discussion board would be beneficial to the class. But at the same time, the discussion board is much less personal compared to the blog. I also feel that it is more difficult to bring ones own thoughts to the table on a discussion board because you can't start new topics unless you are the admin (I may be wrong).

Blogging is good for alleviating stress and your soul. Your thought and your post is your creation. Blogging is like pooping. It is cathartic.

That sounds kind of dirty. OK, you do not have to think of it that way.

Sorry. I just have to get the funny aromatic thought out of the way.

haha.. difficult to say if this blog is necessary or not?.. yeah, i know what you mean, but after all, the truth is that it helped the class get closer. It wouldn't really make sense if we didn't have the opportunity to go home and force ourselves to think of something to write on this blog--or even just take the time and speak our mind truthfully.. but i have to admit, it takes a while to go around and keep track of who left a comment on your wall and who you left a comment to.. and doing the portfolio thingy.

Cheating is good for innovation if you know how to cheat without getting "caught" or cheat when no one is watching. You only get caught when someone cares.

Now, I do not meant to tell people to cheat to harm other. However, since when is cheating labeled as an unethical thing to do?

Have not you heard of the saying from Pablo Picasso that "good artists copy, great artists steal?"

I once took a calculus class from a hippie instructor at another college, and the guy basically taught us all the tricks to "cheat" and how to learn math so that it is less sucks. It was a great experience to look at math differently. Of course on the test there was no cheating, but he has taught us so many tricks that it was easy to break all the rules.
